Chhaava has entered the Rs. 500 Crore Club on its 22nd day. The film has exceeded all pre-release expectations and has gone through the roof with very consistent collections right since release. Though after its fantastic opening weekend it was pretty much on the cards that the film will enter Rs. 300 Crore Club, stable weekdays henceforth set the stage well for a comfortable entry into the Rs. 400 Crore Club.
However, it was the second weekend which sealed the deal for the film and Rs. 500 crores was in sight. With a century being scored in the second weekend, the film found itself on a fast track and hence it was just a matter of time before Rs. 500 Crore Club entry was attained. It could have well happened inside three weeks itself but India’s winning run in the Champions Trophy meant that collections saw a dip on a couple of key days.
The fourth week has started quite well with Rs. 6.30 crores more being collected. Today, there is a good chance of double-digit score being reached. Currently standing at Rs. 502.70 crores, the Vicky Kaushal starrer is next aiming for Rs. 550 crores milestone.
