The big day is here, and it’s all falling in place. Earlier, Diwali was on Friday and that would have meant a diluted box office response since people are busy with celebrations. However, with Thursday turning out to be the day of festivities, Friday is now a full holiday available, which means at theatres one can well expect a crazy box office response.
Singham Again was always meant to be an event film and now it has practically become the biggest of the year so far with all around positivity surrounding it. The trailer of the Rohit Shetty directed film had anyways received a very good response and momentum has only enhanced further ever since. There isn’t any song which has caught on big though, which means it would be all star power led by Ajay Devgn and other half a dozen A listers which will drive the film. Moreover, the cop universe has a huge value to it and that will further keep the ticket sales brisk.
All of this means that at the very minimum, Rs. 40 crores will come at the box office on Friday. The biggest opening so far for Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty has been Singham Returns which had netted Rs. 32 crores and that number will be surpassed by a distance. A bountiful weekend awaits the film and if the content ends up meeting the hype as well then sky is the limit.
